Snapshot #1: Me, today.
I was still sewing like crazy at 5:30 (pm), enjoying myself immensely, but trying to find the willpower to stop, as my children were beginning to make those "I'm hungry" sounds. I've been very crafty lately, but I may need to put myself on a crafting diet.
Snapshot #2: Allegra, today.
Allegra came into the kitchen today and looked at me with her head tilted to one side, saying, "You know why my head is so heavy on one side? It's because I have so much to think about!" And while I was still marveling at that amazingly cute statement, she proceeded to fill me in on what she had to think about: "I am thinking about getting married, my birthday, getting a ginormous princess dress, and having babies." Well, that just about put me on the floor.
Snapshot #3: Karis, dinner tonight.
One of Karis's favorite things now is salsa. I'm not sure where she developed a taste for it, but she loves it, can spot it from across the table and loves to say, "sasa?" And, sure enough, if you give it to her, even just out of the jar, she eats it!
Snapshot #4: Teran, Christmas night.
Jim looked at me and said, "We've reached a milestone." I knew what he meant: Teran put together a model car with very limited help in only a few hours. Eight, almost nine, years old is a great time to be a boy.
Snapshot #5: Micaiah, day after Christmas.
Having received a long bow from her dad for Christmas, she was excited to try it out. Jim took the three oldest kids out to play a little archery golf, and upon returning, Micaiah, with red cheeks and nose announced that that was the most fun she'd had EVER.
