New Year's Eve

The kids were SO excited to be part of Monica Ward's wedding yesterday.  (Thanks so much, Monica, for asking them!) All three girls were "Snowflake Girls" (you can't have flower girls at a New Year's Eve wedding), and looked great.

Micaiah looked about 15 in a lovely little black dress with the tiniest bit of mascara on to bring out her eyes (I'm not sure Daddy was ready for that!).  Micaiah and Allegra walked up the aisle dropping crocheted snowflakes, and Karis was supposed to help them, but instead went along behind them picking up the snowflakes--of course, she was so adorable that nobody minded.

Teran was a Bible-bearer, as opposed to a ring bearer, a job he greatly enjoyed as he did not relish the idea of carrying a ring on a pillow.

For Allegra, I think this is as close as she's been able to come to seeing a real live princess.  She was enthralled with Monica, and wanted to be close to her as often as possible throughout the evening.

All in all, a great time--so great, in fact, that we came home and tucked ourselves into bed by 8:00, parents too!

In other news, we no longer have our frosty winter wonderland as our weather pattern shifted, but here is the view from a few weeks ago:
