This is going to be a "lots of pictures, not many words" post; hope you don't mind!
We pulled out Thursday, July 18 for a 10 day trip that would take us to 2 bluegrass festivals and a weeklong fiddle camp.
Our first night, camping at Pearrygin Lake, near Winthrop, WA:
Next day we drove over the North Cascades Highway. It was beautiful and breathtaking.
Pulled into Darrington, WA, for the Pacific Northwest's biggest and longest running bluegrass festival. Beautiful setting, nice and cool. The band did a great job on Friday night; Saturday around 7,000 people were expected.
