Seventeen years ago I married my best friend. (I'm happy to add that he's still my best friend, too!) I certainly didn't know what I was getting into with marriage at all, even at the wise old age of 20, but it's been awesome! It's been better, and harder, and sweeter, and more humbling than I thought possible. I've never been so glad to give up so much for somebody, and to have them give up so much for me. When it's been hard, I've gone back to God: "Remember now, you told me to marry him; you'd better help!" And of course, He does, usually by fixing me first.
Thanks for 17 awesome years! Can't wait, can't imagine what the next 17 will bring!

This is kind of a family classic for us; one that earned the honor of being put "on the wall." This was 10 years ago!
