Happy Birthday to Me!

I'm tired, sunburned, dirty, and happy.  We got in a few hours ago from our second bluegrass festival.    I haven't been one to dream much about my future or guess what I'd be doing, but honestly, I really never saw myself being so, well, blue.  Bluegrass music is a culture, a community, all to itself.  Nice people, really kid-friendly.  Good times.

So, being tired, dirty, etc, I think I'll stop writing and just show you some pictures.  Enjoy!

Who's that snazzy guy?
We're heading over to the stage for Friday night's show.

The view from the stage while the Arndt boys tear it up during
Saturday's show.
One of the unique things about the bluegrass culture is the
campground jam.  Here Micaiah gets some pointers from
a very encouraging local legend.  After the show Jim and the older
two kids went out and jammed until well after midnight.

Charity thought the whole thing was a little corny,
but she still loved it.
