Micaiah blew out all eleven candles with one breath, and with that, our spring birthday season came to a close. We start with Teran in January, although his birthday is really more of a tag onto the Christmas season, then take February off, then in quick succession we have Charity, Jim, and Allegra in March, Karis in April, and Micaiah in May.

When I was little, my parents bought me a porcelain figurine for each birthday, a "Growing Girl" who got taller each year and held the number of that year's birthday. We started doing this with our girls, and I'm actually surprised at how much they look forward to it. Having four girls, we may need to buy stock at Hallmark!

Now that birthday season is behind us, the next logical step would be gardening, or at least something outdoors. Now if only the weather would cooperate...
